It’s time to stop fixing yourself and start understanding yourself.

No matter what you do, there always seems to be something you need to improve about yourself.

Despite how many self-help books you’ve read, how many manifestation and vision board workshops you’ve attended, or how many nervous system regulation tools you’ve tried, there’s still a nagging voice in the back of your mind that tells you:

Why don’t I have what she has?”
“I should be further along by now.”
“I’m a failure.”
“Everyone else is doing better than me.”

And these voices don’t just show up occasionally… They follow you into your daily life: when you’re ready to go to sleep, when you look at yourself in the mirror, or every moment you scroll through Instagram.

On the outside, you’re keeping it all together. You go to work. You put on a happy face. You have people who love and support you. You have resources. By most people’s standards, you have “no reason to complain.” You know you should be grateful for what you have.

And yet, underneath it all, you still don’t feel at peace with yourself.

Why?

There’s nothing wrong with wanting to grow or create more abundance in your life… But when your happiness is always tied to a future outcome, you may sneakily be telling yourself:

I can’t be happy where I am now.”

This is where Somatic Life Coaching can help.

I don't believe personal growth happens when you constantly try to improve yourself. I believe it happens when you start understanding yourself.

Somatic Life Coaching is a body-centered approach to personal growth that helps you develop greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations.

Instead of trying to quiet your inner critic, rely on positive affirmations alone, or ignore uncomfortable emotions when they arise, we learn to slow down and listen to what your mind and body are communicating.

Through body-based mindfulness, self-awareness, curiosity, and self-compassion, you can begin responding to yourself with understanding rather than resistance.

When you begin to understand why you think the way you do, why certain emotions keep showing up, and why different parts of you respond the way they do, self-judgment naturally shifts toward self-compassion.

From that place of understanding, your relationship with yourself begins to change, and self-criticism naturally starts to soften.

My Coaching Framework

My Somatic Life Coaching process follows a simple four-step framework shaped by nearly a decade of my own personal growth—including navigating anxiety, depression, and a relentless Inner Critic—as well as my professional experience supporting clients with perfectionism, emotional eating, burnout, and self-criticism.

Soften & Soothe

The first step of the process is to soften and relax the body with gentle Qigong breathing exercises, mindful movement, and self-massage techniques. This will help to soothe the nervous system. When the nervous system is calm, your mind is more likely to be present and open for the next steps.

Connect

Next, I will ask you to identify a current situation, challenge, or negative thought that you are struggling with. As you think about this challenge, you will practice observing where you feel it in your body, and naming what sensations and emotions you’re feeling without trying to get rid of them.

Understand

With curiosity and compassion, we'll explore the part of you that's showing up. We'll discover what it's trying to protect, what it fears, and what it truly needs. As your Coach, I will help facilitate this process and will guide you on how to “talk” to this part of you and truly get to understand and learn from it.

Integrate

After gaining insights from this part of you, you will integrate those insights into your daily life. These inner parts of us are a wealth of wisdom for our personal growth. The more you connect with these parts of you and integrate your learning from them, the more you can live your life with presence, self-trust, and compassion.

What if personal growth isn't just about having more success, earning more, or achieving more, but about changing your relationship with the parts of yourself you don’t like?
